Allison Spain Artist living & working in Baltimore, Maryland Allison Spain recently spent one year on arts-related fellowship working in Mexico, where she lived in an indigenous Totonaca community in the Sierra Norte mountains of Puebla. She completed the installation of The Faja Project in the Mexico City underground transport system in January, 2006. The work explored the impacts of agribusiness on indigenous campesino culture and way of life. She hopes to install the project in the United States in 2007.
