Born and raised in Hawaii (of 5th generation Chinese immigrants). Honors graduate with degree in Chemistry from Princeton University. Medical and Public Health degrees from Tulane University. Retired after 20 years in US Army Walter Reed Institute of Research conducting clinical trials of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics against tropical diseases in Africa, South America and Asia. Consultant to the World Health Organization since 1985. Advisor to Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals. Former faculty of University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Selected as one of Americas top (3%) physicians 2006-7. For past 5 years District Health Officer for Maui County, Dept fo Health, Hawaii - BUT SPEAKING AS PRIVATE CITIZEN ON THIS ISSUE. About 5 dozen published articles in peer reviewed medical journals. Featured lecturer, genetic contamination of Hawaii and associated health risks.
